Anyone do the newborn photos at North Shore Manhasset hospital while they were there after giving birth? Any review or prices you can share? Thanks!

I can tell you I did them at Huntington and they came out like crap and were expensive. You have no control over when they come. They are only there certain days and times are not up to you. They showed up when I was trying to nurse, had a bunch of visitors outside waiting. It was a hot mess.

I just have birth there last Monday and I refused the pics. They come out horrible and are very expensive. The nurse was angry she even had to tell me about it haha she said its a ripoff and doesn't recommend them

I refused then because last time because we were getting them done by Steve at Patken so thre was no need to have two!

I did the pictures at Winthrop for my DD. it was horrible. she was crying the whole time, they didn't even come out good and they were expensive!!

I will add that I took them, but its free to take them. Then they send you an email link to purchase. Obviously I didn't purchase any and I'm so so glad I had already booked a photog to come to my house when it was on my terms and I was showered and wasn't trying to keep visitors at bay.

I did them for my dd and ds at north shore and I loved the way they came out....if they come at a bad time you just ask them to come back later...I had asked both times that they come back and they had no problem with that....I'm horrible with posting photos here but if your interested in seeing some of them fm me

Edited to add...that for me it was a cheaper way to go then to hire a newborn photographer

I did in 2012 with DS. The girl was slightly annoying and had no clue what she was doing. It was so hectic in there between her, visitors, and nurses. Then I don't know what I was thinking but she persuaded me to buy a $400 package! A few weeks later this huge box came to my house and I was shocked lol!! I called them and they refunded me the money less $100 for the CD of images.
And on top of it all the pics were mediocre at best.

There's no obligation to buy them. It's through moms 365, and DH and I didn't feel like doing our own newborn photo shoot again for birth announcements. DDs are 2 and don't sit well for pics, so we tried. They came out awesome! I ordered the birth announcement from my bed, and they shipped so fast they got to my house before I did. I didn't order a disc or anything, just the cards. The photographer was nice, and she can come back if you hate them.

The thing with hospital nb photogs is that they are hired by a company (usually Bella or one of those). I (or another experienced newborn photographer) can apply and work for these companies and can deliver quality work. Someone just starting out who isn't so great can also work for them. Its a crap shoot on who you get. (no pun intended lol).

I wasn't against getting them done in the hospital since its no obligation to buy, but I declined with my girls b/c one was in the NICU and I couldn't have them together. I just took my own of them.

I did them. They were expensive and not really nice at all but I am a sucker. Thankfully I also had professional newborn pics done. If I have another child I wouldn't waste the money.

I did them at Winthrop for DD2 and liked them. They never came around for DD1. The photographer came around, asked if I was interested and gave me a form to fill out. She came back later and did the pics. I think she did 8 pictures.
I didn't like that she wouldn't give me a list of packages and prices (you can buy online later, but photog said the packages were different online). Quoted me 2 different prices for cd alone. I said I would take the cd and just small number of prints, no extras. Photog said she was giving me the smallest package with the CD. It had extras like a dvd case and phone cases. When I got my receipt by email, some of the extras were listed as add-ons so I called and had them removed from my order. I don't know if the photog didn't know the options well or was tricking me, but I was annoyed about the ordering process.

I did them when I had my DD at LIJ in 2013. They were pricey and I wish I waited until I got home to see the pricing online since there were more options online.
I'm delivering at NSUH Manhasset this time and plan on having them done but waiting until I get home to order.

I did them at Winthrop. They came at the worst time, I was throwing up, my doctor was in the room checking on me, my husband was trying to sleep. However my son was sleeping and the pics came out very nice. My parents really wanted the pics and offered to pay so I got a package.
