What's the Worst Age?
I'm bracing for the teen years! I am DREADING those. For now everything seems so small compared to "I hate you mom" ugh. She's said that ONCE already (exact words were I don't like you) and man alive it was melt down in our house.

Re: What's the Worst Age?
All of 3yo DD's whining over the past years combined is nothing compared to dealing with a teenager I'm sure. I really don't complain about this age or crying babies. I don't think you have any idea what bad can be until you deal with teenagers. I am beyond dreading that age. I'll take a toddler/preschooler over that ANY day!

My dd was a perfect little angel 95% of the time and literally she woke up on her second bday and has been a crank for the past two months. Quick to get mad, whiny, not so easily distracted or about to redirect, whiny, and needs to have her way ASAP. And did I mention whiny? It grates on my nerves. I fear for the future.
Our dd might be related lol! 2 has been such a challenge. The whining is the worst part of it. She is so demanding and has no patience either. It always has to be her way. She was the easiest sweetest baby but those days are gone.

Re: What's the Worst Age?
Every age has its pros and cons and each kid is different.
Some things get better while some get worse as there are new and exciting things. lol.
I also agree, if you think babies are expensive, WAIT until they get to school and then just wait until they are teenagers. NOT looking forward to sr. year next year with all the expenses. Kids need to have jobs now as a necessity as with school and cars and other things, it is just too expensive on parents now.

What's the Worst Age?
2 to 3.5.... It's no longer a "phase". She's been bad for a year and a half straight, with no end in sight.

What's the Worst Age?
As DS gets closer to 3 and becomes more verbal, he has been getting better and better. We still have our share of challenges, but I really do love this age. I hope we continue on this positive trend but I am not counting on it!
I would say for us as he neared 2 it was really difficult. He still wasn't saying a whole lot and he would get super frustrated when he couldn't communicate his needs with us.

With having an 11 yo DS and 8yo DS, and talking with many parents (coworkers, parents of Scouts, soccer, etc.), I will just answer "YES"!
All of the younger years, and all of the older years are the worst, it just varies. The crying and whining some years, the talking back other years, the shoving everything in sight in their mouths (as toddlers, and later on as teenagers... )
I agree with this. Each age has their challenges. Some we might be able to deal with better but they all are tough.
Personally we don't have bad ages...more like bad few weeks with some good ones to space it out.

What's the Worst Age?
3!!! Awful, horrible, it's seriously a nightmare. The tantrums, talking back, she's ultra whiny. Some days I don't know how I do it.
Whoever said the 2's were so "terrible" was smoking something. 3 has been the worst for me so far.
I dread the teenage years. I really do. If she's this bad now, I don't even want to know how she's going to be then.

1-3. Literally awful from the day she turned 1 until we hit 3. 3-4 has been pretty good. 4-41/2 has had it ups and downs but mostly ups. We turn 5 in may so hoping we keep on the up

I guess we can conclude that it just doesn't get better....until they move out! hahaha
Yes! I have an 11, 8 and 4 year old and besides being able to use the bathroom themselves and feed themselves I'm not sure much has changed lol!

Re: What's the Worst Age?
DD was colicky and DS had reflux, so those first 6 months for each of them was ROUGH!
I also find my DS's current age to be hard. He is 15mo. DD was a late talker and it seems DS will be the same. The time between when they can really understand things and when they can communicate is SO hard. DS gets so mad sometimes because I cannot figure out what he is trying to convey with his nods and grunts, and he has tantrums all the time. And there is no rationalizing with a 15mo.
DD is now 3. 2 was NOWHERE near as bad for me as those other two periods, and 3 isn't so horrible either. Does she have meltdowns? Yes, but at least she can tell me why (unless it is just tiredness). Plus she is SO much fun and hysterical that it really makes those grumpy times bearable.

For me it was like 15-20 months. They're movile, have no fear, but can't really communicate what they want and are easily frustrated,
I know the twos are supposed to be terrible, but this year has been so much easier now that my son can tell me what he needs and I can reason with him.
Same exact for us!! Between 15-24 months was the worst!!!! It was mostly due to his frustration from not being able to communicate well.
2 was much better and 3 even easier so far even though now at 3 we are just hitting the "fresh" stage. I am not liking hearing my kid give me a piece of his mind.

So far, Three hands down. Every day is a Mind Fk. LOL
Anyone else who has a 3yo, do they just live to argue with you all day?
She only just turned 3 a week and a half ago and man, she is IMPOSSIBLE. Such sass! I tell her she's fresh and she gets up in my face and says NO YOU'RE FRESH and shakes her finger at me!!!

Re: What's the Worst Age?
DS1 was very difficult for the first 6 months. He was much better after that. He never really went through the terrible twos. As soon as he turned 3, he started acting up a lot and testing limits. Luckily, it was a relatively short phase (maybe a few months). He's certainly not the best listener, but he's pretty well behaved.
DS1 has been pretty difficult since he turned 1. It has only gotten worse since he became more independent and stubborn. He's 2 now and is very opinionated. He wants things done his way or he throws huge tantrums. I don't see it getting better although certain behaviors and phases have stopped.

I call him "Al-Kiddo" because he's a tiny terrorist!

For my older DS it was between 3-4. My younger DS is 4 right now and this has definitely been the toughest year.

Re: What's the Worst Age?
My dd is not yet two, but I felt that the 12-15 month range was the most tiring and frustrating. She couldn't walk/talk and never wanted to play independently and was frustrated all the time.

What's the Worst Age?
2-21 yrs old
So far, 2 & 4 sucked. Loved 5, but he recently turned 6 and I'm starting to think it's going to be bad. Idk if my DS is on some kinda alternate year behavioral plan.
Eta: Warning teen years arent a cake walk either. My SS was bad at 16, be actaully came to live with us over the summer because his mom was at her wits end. Be careful of how much you spoil your kids because when they become teens they are monsters. He just turned 17 and it's a whole lot better. Lol
