need gift idea... 2 yr old boy
Ive been looking only and all the recommendations for 2 year old boys say ages 3+ on the packaging 
Anyone have an idea? Id like to spend no more than $40.

a lego duplo set would be my suggestion.
You can also do a sit and spin, or a musical instrument set, or a ride on toy, or puzzles.
most toys that say 3+ are usually ok for 2 year olds. most of the time its more a safety thing than a usage thing so if play is supervised its fine.

My ds is 2.5 and he loves Legos but the regular ones hates his duplo now. He also loves his matchbox cars and teenage mutant ninja turtles.

DS will be turning 2 in October. He loves cars, little people, instruments, stickers, bath toys, melissa & doug cutting board, play kitchen food.

My DS is almost 2 1/2 and obsessed with trains, cars, and trucks. He is also really into puzzles. I bought him a bunch of floor puzzles (they have bigger pieces which make them easier to assemble) and he could sit there all day putting them together. Any type of art supplies/crafts is always a big hit with him too.
Wanted to add the puzzles and trains always say 3+ but we still bought them. DS was never one to put things in his mouth though.
