need gift idea for a 3 1/2 year old boy

He has recently been diagnosed with speech problems and fine motor skill problems. nothing that they cant help with therapy but i was thinking of tryign to get him a toy of some sort that woudl help with those things but yet still be fun. any ideas?

Disney Cars is very popular with my son. You could get him the toy cars for that movie (my son's favorite toys) .. that would help his picking up the toys with his fingers..

bristle blocks, peg board, anything that requires some fine motor manipulation would be good for that stuff. and anything that requires lacing with string is good.

for speech, anything that you can try to push him to say or respond to things. even a board game, where you can take turns and ask him to respond for his turn.

my son had speech delays (no motor issues though) and basically all the therapy is play therapy.

go to a good learning toy store (lakeshore learning in New hyde park is a goo example) they have tons of educational toys which are usually the types of things the therapists use.
