2 under 2 - Toddler and Newborn routine?

What is your day like with a toddler and baby? Any tips? When did you start taking both kids out on your own?
I really wish DH had more time off work! The first week has gone so fast.

I have an 18 month old and a 12 week old (they are 15 months apart). I started taking them out for walks alone in the double stroller the second week....and that's pretty much all I do. After his 8 weeks shots we would occasionally arrange play dates for dd but my friends knew I had the newborn to care for/feed so they really would watch dd. More often then not I would have people come to me bc it's easier then getting them out. I would have loved to take dd to the park and stuff during the week so she can run around but it wasn't feasible bc I needed to keep an eye on Ds in the stroller. He hates when I try to wear him. Dd being only 15-18 months doesn't always listen when I tell her not to run/climb/go here or there so it's a challenge to be alone. If you oldest can understand and listens trips to the park may be a it easier


Eta - my day was always wake up feed Ds, shower, get dd out I bed and breakfast. Then we go for a morning walk - about 2 miles. Back home, feed both kids, dd would nap and then we would be in for the day. Ds is/was colic so afternoons are the hardest - he just screams and screams so I prefer to keep that in the privacy of my own home and not in the stroller around the neighborhood. My maternity leave is coming to an end and as boring as it was feeling trapped at home I'm going to miss it. When Dh is home in weekend we go to the pool, park, friends houses etc. it's much easier when it's one on one instead of me being outnumbered lol

I still basically followed older dd schedule but obviously adding in feelings. I went out right away. Maybe one week old dd2 was at the park. I wore her dd1 was almost 3 at the time in the stroller.

We always got up are breakfast out the door by 9/9:30. Back usually by 11 the latest. Lunch, nap, afternoons I tend to stay home but sometimes go out.

Dd2 is now 17 months and still similar schedule. She adjusted to it
