I have to (or least i want to) since I work in a hospital. Some are required but mostly I want to stay healthy.
I know that's debatable but I think for me its the right choice. Plus I would never want to be a carrier and harm my children unknowingly. KWIM.

I never get the flu shot. I ended up with the flu this year but it wasn't even the strain in the shot, so had I gotten the vax, it wouldn't have mattered.
How did you know which strain you had? I'm very curious

I'm vaccinated for pneumonia because I see a doctor who believes that more people should be & that getting pneumonia would be extra risky for me. I went back a year later for another shot, thinking it was like the flu shot and he told me it lasts at least 10 years, possibly longer. Now I am so glad I did it. I just wanted to mention that people should think about it.
