2 Year Old- HELP! LOL

I am having what I feel are multiple issues with my 2 year old that I feel must be all intertwined only I cant figure out whats wrong... Please PLEASE let me know if anyone has gone through this and knows what it is or any suggestions you all might have because Im kind of at my wits end...
Here is what my usually well sleeping, well mannered 2 year old has been doing for 2 going on 3 weeks now: (note: this is a collective list of whats been going on)

1. Started with night wakings hysterical screaming crying and would want to sleep in my bed (has NEVER liked sleeping in my bed LOVES her bed) for about an hour then I can transfer her back to her crib
2. Waking up VERY early 530-6 (was waking 700-730) crying hysterically
3. Fighting sleep stays up until 9pm (was going to bed 730-8) and what I mean stays up is I put her in bed 730-8 and she will roll around, babble, whine, try to stand up then lay back down as if shes not tired
4. Fighting her naps, some days just out right wont take one and then will literally pass out in the late afternoon when its WAY too late for a nap.
5. Wont go to bed unless Im in the room with her
6. Some mornings Im so tired when she wakes at 530-6 I bring her into our guest bedroom and she will sleep for another hour or 2 with me
7. When she says she wants mommys bed she means the guest bedroom she doesn't want to go in my bed because daddy is there
8. She will only allow me to put her to bed if Im home, she no longer lets my DH put her to bed. She FLIPS OUT hysterical crying SCREAMING for mommy. Like hes killing her. IN fact when it comes time to get ready for bed she wont even want him in her room. She loves playing with him, like when he gets home from work shes jumping out of her seat running to the door and jumping all over him... I don't even exist... But come bedtime hes out. LOL And shes become quite clingy to me...
9. Due to always being tired (at least this is my opinion) her behavior has become atrocious some days. She throws INSANE tantrums over NOTHING, literally nothing. Shes throwing things, hitting, biting, she says no to everything, she gets easily frustrated, angry...

Ive considered:
2 year molars
nightmares
wants to go in a big girl bed?

I just have no clue what to do anymore... Ive stopped taking her into my bed because clearly a bad habit is being formed...Please if anyone has any advice Im open to hearing anything... Im at the point Im going to call my Dr because I dont know if something is physically wrong. Like shes not feeling well. Nothing in our home has changed. No schedule changes. No new people around. Nothing has changed.

I don't have any advice, I just want to say I am right there with you. I have 25 month old triplets. 2 are typical I guess - occasional meltdowns but manageable. One is a lunatic and I was so close to posting something very similar to what you wrote. Insane, epic tantrums, waking up early hysterically crying, rolling around in his crib till 9/10 at night, clingy, did I mention insane, epic tantrums over the smallest things? Also uses his new and impressive vocabulary to literally scream orders at me. "More ice cream! MORE ICE CREAM NOW!" I am almost afraid of him, my hands literally shake trying to get the wrapper off the second ice cream sandwich he demanded, lol.

I guess some 2 yo are just tougher than others! Hang in there and let me know if you discover anything that works to tame them :)

2 Year Old- HELP! LOL

We battled nightmares with my 2 year old a few weeks ago. It started with a nap where she woke up not long after going to sleep hysterical. DH was home with her and was the one who mentioned it seemed like a nightmare but he wasn't entirely sure she'd even fallen asleep yet. That night when I brought her in to get ready for bed she immediately lost it and was saying "there's no snowmen" so it was pretty obvious at that point. She's very verbal so I was able to ask her some questions and try to reassure her. The next few days were rough. I think the next day I sat in her room until she fell asleep for her nap bc she was so freaked out there was no way I could leave her. It only lasted a few days but she still brings up snowmen and monsters some days before nap or bed and needs constant reassurance. If we weren't able to pinpoint the problem and talk to her about it I'm sure it would have been harder. Not sure if you can try to question her a little to see if that's it. Maybe you can talk a little about being scared and see if she brings up anything specific. Of course at this age, who knows. It could just be a bad bought of separation anxiety. DD has all her 2 year molars but there were some tough nights while those were coming through too.

I just posted something about "those who have moved recently" thinking that was the reason they were acting this way.. now after reading your post, I think it's just because they're two.
Its almost the exact same experience! They want nothing to do with daddy or anyone other than me.
I definitely think its a phase though... there's so much change and they are feeling so much more at a rapid pace but can't fully speak yet..
between my 2, the one who has worse and more frequent tantrums is the one who is less verbal.
I just pray every day that it gets better because Im exhausted!

2 Year Old- HELP! LOL

Thanks so much. Def feels better to know im not alone.
My dd is very verbal and able to comprehend everything around her, picks up on things easily...
Since shes on a no kick everything is no. I have asked every question unddr the sun. Does your mouth hurt? Does your belly hurt? Are you scared? Did you see something in your sleep you dont like? Why are you upset? What makes you cry?
Even when shes up are you hungry? No but if i put food in front of her she eats everything.
She can tell me everything else. What tv shows she wants to watch. What songs she wants to hear. What shoes she wants to wear but this night thing she wont say anything but that she wants me...

Talk about throwing a tantrum for no reason... this one makes ne alugh now but i almost lost it when it happened... she did not like the bubble theclown blew on a thomas the engine episode so she says no bubbles and throws her full yogurt on the floor... and started crying... talk about overtired...
Im just thrown cause besides an occasional tantrum she was pretty well mannered... now the second she doesnt get her way epic meltdown...

My dh seems to think nightmares are rhe cause... what do i do about it then? I have no clue... anyone have advice how to approach it with a very verbal 2 year old.

Re: 2 Year Old- HELP! LOL

Could've written your post word for word.... Except mine has been going on for over a month!!!

It is now getting better finally only because I just had to get tough on her.... No one was getting any sleep... She kept making excuses of things she needed in bed with her to make us stay longer... I had enough one day and told her we weren't going to stay in the room with her anymore... Have her a firm "we love you, we'll see you in the morning, etc" ... Crying went on for over an hour... But we stuck to it and she fell asleep... She pulled the same thing the next day, but didn't cry as long... We have now finally had a few nights of straight sleep with no sleeping on the floor next to her Chat Icon Chat Icon

Just be comforting, but firm... And STICK TO IT!!!

I also have no idea why it even began... Chat Icon but it struck out of nowhere in my perfect sleeper... We kept saying we must've been too spoiled the first 2 yrs of her life

Re: 2 Year Old- HELP! LOL

Sounds like I could have written that myself. That is my daughter. I figured is just the terrible 2. She also can be a sweetheart one minute then screaming her head off like someone ripped her arm off, hitting herselfand rolling on the floor. We just go with it. She never was a great sleeper but I got an "ok to wake" clock to see if we can address the wake up time issue. Other times I think it's just set of by hunger, lack of sleep and just being a girl and big sister. I don't know what to say but I hope we can surf it out

My son is doing the same - he's 2 years 5 mos. He's been really fighting bed time, waking up at night, screaming... Tons of tantrums. Etc.

It's been exhausting.
