ok totally paranoid here.
i can t sleep bc i keep thinking someone is breaking in...clearly noone is but im totally freaking myself out!!!

oh no!!!! If you want to sleep watch something (not sad) on TV and make it really LOUD so you dont hear the noises!

I know how u feel, I always notice more noises when my DH isnt home. Dont worry i'm sure its nothing, put some lights on.

This is exactly why I sleep with a fan on, so I don't hear the noises. Hopefully you were able to get some sleep

I always put our alarm on when I go to sleep whether DH is home or not. I just feel so much safer when it is armed.

I used to do that at our other place...the way it was shaped was odd and there was always a coat rack in the corner of my eye.

I had the same kind of night! 
Even with a giant barking dog I have little paranoid episodes when I'm home alone.
