Dinner and dancing or dinner and outdoor drinking in NYC

I am in charge of picking places for a girls night in NYC -next weekend - but I am not familiar with a lot of fun places - for mid-30s girls!

Can you recommend your favorite:

- restaurant (any genre)
- outdoor drinks or dining
-dancing (haven't done this since our mid - 20s) - want to leave this as a possible later in the night option!

Catch in the meatpacking but its almost impossible to get to the rooftop ( this was 2 yrs ago, not sure about now) but If you go for dinner, you might be able to go to the rooftop

or just go to QUeen of the Night or the box. you can also go to hotel americano or sleep no more rooftop bar- gallow green ( hotel americano and gallow green are very close .. so u can do both)

google them. dont pay too much attention to yelp reviews because most of them are written by morons from wisconsin that feel entitled

Jessie's Girl is a fun 80's cover band. They play at poisson rouge on Bleeker. They are amazing!

Thank you ladies - I will look into these.

I should add that this is a Friday night!

My time line I was thinking -

-before dinner drinks (5-6pm)
-dinner (7-8)
-after dinner fun (10-11) if we make it that long! Haha!

i would leave 2 hours for dinner, especially if its a big group

i would just go to Cavo in astoria. you can drink outdoors, eat inside and dance everywhere the place is beautiful.
