DS was born at the end of July. His Christening was Columbus Day weekend that year. He was 2 and a half months. We lucked out with the weather, it wound up being 80 degrees and beautiful that day.

8 months, in June. We didn't plan on waiting that long, but it worked out the best that way.

For those of you that had a Christening

DH will be 5 months old and it will be Columbus Day weekend.

Ideally, he would have been 3-4 months old, but our parish makes you jump through a million hoops. Meet with priest (one month wait), attend class (additional one week), then book christening. By the time we went to book July, August, and September were all booked up. My parish only offers baptisms the last weekend of the month and only baptize 2 babies per sessions - hence the long wait. Starting in October, they will be offering baptismals twice a month.

DS was 4 months - had it in May.
DS2 is due in December and I haven't decided when to do it yet. Probably spring break or winter break when my brother is home from college.

Re: For those of you that had a Christening

DS was 4 months old. I would have done it sooner but he was born end of November and we had a bad winter weather wise. So I waited until March.
