Supply issues with 11 month old
DD has been nursing very well for 11 months now. For the first 8 months I would nurse one side per feeding. Around that time I started weaning to 4 nursing a day. I noticed pretty quickly that my supply fell and I needed to nurse her from both sides each feeding. Still not an issue. On Monday I got sick and had to supplement two feedings with frozen milk. I got pretty dehydrated and have been trying to increase my water supply each day. I have noticed each day my supply gets worse and worse. DD isn't swallowing as much milk and is getting frustrated during the feedings bc she isn't feeling like she is done. Even when I nurse her from both sides... Can I still get my supply back if I keep nursing, keep drinking and eating nursing friendly foods???
I'm going to try anyway, just wondering if anyone knows what I might be able to expect.

I am pretty sure that you can get your supply back. My DD (she is just over 9 months) had a bad cold and didn't want to nurse for about three days. I definitely noticed that my supply has gone down because my pump output (which was low to begin with) has been awful. I started taking Fenugreek again and drinking lots of water. I also try to nurse DD as often as I can. The more she nurses, the more milk I will make.

Can you try to offer her the first side again? I never tried that when DD was older but I definitely did it when she was young and it topped her off and helped bring my supply up.

My supply dropped at 10 mos and never improved. I tried fenugreek, but it only made a small difference. I started supplementing with whole milk right before she turned 11 mos. I still nurse when she wakes up and before bed, but sometimes I can tell she's not getting enough. Sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear. Just wanted to share my experience. I was def bummed when I had to start supplementing but it was a bit of a relief since I was more stressed and upset about not pumping enough.

I would do this before supplementing. You're never actually empty so she will get more eventually.

I found mothers milk tea helped me a lot. Also lactation cookies. I know people specifically make these but once my cousin made oat type cookies and I ate some and my milk supply was crazy. Also it summer -and hot and you're probably dehydrated. Drink till you're peeing every 5m, and when you think you drank enough drink some more!
