Beans for babies
Meat is terribly constipating for DS, so I was going to try beans for protein instead. But I don't like beans at all, so I have no idea what kind to get/make, or even how to go about doing it. Help.

Beans for babies
Dd loves beans! I get the stop n shop organic brand, natures promise, of canned black beans and that's it. Dd love them and it's a great finger food and easy to pick up.

Re: Beans for babies
DD loves cannnelini beans. I rinse them off and then boil them in chicken broth for about 7 min.

Re: Beans for babies
We eat tons of beans...my kids really like chickpeas...I roast them with a bunch of spices on them or they just eat them plain. I try to do beans in place of a protein every other day...They like cannellini beans, pink beans, black beans...sometimes I sautee my black beans in a bit of sofrito, which is a favorite side dish for us with tacos.

Re: Beans for babies
I guess I should have clarified...DS is only 7 months old. But I guess I can do any of the above and just throw them in the food mill. I'll save the roasted chickpeas til a bit later. but will def try them!

Re: Beans for babies
I mash them up & mix them into something smooth like a jar of veggies to give it more substance but still easy to eat.
