3 Day Potty Training Questions
If you did the 3 day potty training method, did you follow it exactly? If not, what did you change and did it work?

Re: 3 Day Potty Training Questions
I did it but didnt follow it 100%. It said to put the potty in the bathroom from the beginning. But i started it in the living room w us day 1, day 2 in the hall, day 3 in the bathroom. It worked just fine.

Re: 3 Day Potty Training Questions
We didn't get rid of diapers at night. It took an extra month or so for DS to be night trained.

Re: 3 Day Potty Training Questions
i did, but didnt follow it 100%
i didnt have my son throw out the diapers himself... i know they say that is part of the process, but i thought it would make him more upest (he did NOT want to give up his diapers) so i threw all the diapers out the night before we started day 1
we also used pull ups at night.... i had a 1 month old at home & wasnt waking up to feed him & change bed sheets lol he's been trained for 3 months already & we are just about ready to give up the pull ups at night
the one thing that i REALLY stuck to was the rule of no distractions/visitors during the 3 days.... you really need to give your attention 100% to your child. i also repeated "tell mommy when you have to go pee pee or poop, ok?" just like they tell you to do lol i think that helped A LOT
lastly, my son was 3.5 years old... i know the book says to do it way younger than that, but you know what? my son was potty trained after day 1 & we had maybe 3 accidents!
good luck!!!

This.
At night we slowly transitioned from diapers, to pull-ups to nothing but underwear.

Re: 3 Day Potty Training Questions
Followed it 100% Night time also. Went from nighttime diapers with diaper liners & still soaking through to dry first night. I highly recommend following it exactly.

We followed it exactly also. No changes at all and my dd was trained in 3 days time. Had one accident only
Good luck

We followed exactly. DS was waking up screaming soaked at night. Even as a baby, he has always woken up with a loaded diaper (pee). He was pee training in those 3 days. Poop took another month! 5 months later, we still do Pull-ups at night.
ETA - He was 27 months when we did this. He will be 3 in September.

Re: 3 Day Potty Training Questions
I did not follow it exactly. I did everything except take away the nighttime diaper which are the pull ups. He wears them at night. He's been going on the potty successfully both number one and two with only a few accidents.
