Re: mommy sickness question
I honestly let them run wild. They can watch as much tv as they want. Play as many video games as they want. And pretty much eat whatever they want. I also throw in a drop of mommy guilt and remind them how I take care if them when they're sick and now it's their turn to take care of me.

Re: mommy sickness question
I have a 3 year old and 3 month old. I was just knocked out with a stomach bug (luckily nobody else got it). My DH was able to take the day off yesterday to watch the 3 year old while I stayed in bed all day with the 3 month old (he's EBF which made it super easy). I'm very thankful DH has the type of job where he can take a day if needed.
Today DH had to go to work, but I was feeling better but not 100%. I didn't argue much with DD-let her eat what she wanted and watch TV/play with the iPad. I enacted 2 quiet times where we all laid in bed and watched TV.
I don't know what I would've done yesterday if DH didn't stay home. I'd probably have to ask MIL, and I'd almost rather be alone and sick with the kids!

mommy sickness question
I got sick about 2 months ago when DS was 18 months. I let him watch a lot of television, lol.
Dh was able to come home early from work 2 days, and DS gets some services in house, so when his therapist came I rested as well. But in general I don't have anyone that can really help out either so I manage the best I can. Lots more tv/ipad time.

a few months ago I had that god awful stomach virus for 2 straight days threw up with both kids home. I locked us all downstairs int he playroom and let them run wild. lol DD 1 was 3 and dd2 was about 9 months. I laid on the couch all day. I still had them to take care of and moreso dd2 b/c shes still little but I didn't do much. A lot of tv, food, and not caring much about anything lmao. I have no family around so I dealt with it. Nothing I could do. We survived.

Re: mommy sickness question
Grace had coxsackie last week/weekend and I ended up with a migraine Sunday. I laid on the couch while she watched like 6 episodes of bubble guppies and she was as happy as could be. she had the run of the main floor, she played in the living room and watched TV all day while I tried not to die.
