Go to the office of children and family services website (OCFS). They provide a list of all of the licensed providers. That's a good place to start aside from the typical care.com route.

Funny you ask for a daycare in bayside since I posted for a daycare in Uniondale because my company is moving from Bayside. I have DS enrolled in the Learning Experience daycare that should be opening soon. It's located on 215-15 Northern Blvd 888-991-4222 (not sure how close that is to you). Since it's not open yet I can't be of much help.
