I rarely post but I could really use some help and information re: daycare
My son has been going to an in home daycare that we absolutely loved. He started there in September of "08. A situation arose today that we are completely uncomfortable and we have decided to pull him out of the daycare. We are both teachers and it is difficult to take time off and now we are forced to find another daycare in a short amount of time. We are leaning towards a center type daycare b/c i feel there will be more eyes watching and there would be less of a chance to have something negative happen. We aren't totally against another in home situation but I am leaning towards a center. We live in Islip Terrace but i work a bit east of our home and my husband works in nassau county. Does anyone have any recommendations of daycare in the islip area?? any suggestions you have would be totally appreciated, I never thought I would be in this situation.
Thanks in advance!!!

is that the one on sunrise highway? I will check it out and I am going to check out the Kiddie Academy is Islip Terrace too. I was hoping someone was already using one of these places and could give me some info. on it. Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it!

I used Tutor Time on Sunrise in West Islip. They were very good.
My friend used the Kiddie Academy in Islip Terrace for 5 years and was very happy.
Good Luck!

My coworker used the place on Montauk Hwy in East Islip ...I THINK it's South Shore Childrens Center.
