SAVE THE DRAMA...
For your mama!
Come on, we cant even just get along on the pets board? it makes me feel like LIF is just like high school. I think we all just need to stop judging one another and if you must, keep it to yourself. People come on these boards for help & advice, not to be attacked.

I don't think anyone was attacked, no one got nasty IMO.....it was a good conversation and everyone stated their opinion. Open forums lead to lots of opinions.........

i think this is impossible to be honest.
i have belonged to plenty of pet forums and they ALWAYS ensue drama. typically because there are different kinds of pet owners, and they butt heads alot.
its not just on LIF, its on ALL pet forums. there are just so many things that cause drama in the pet world.

yes it does. and i f i was foolish enough to come on here and say i want to get rid of one of my dogs i would expect to be attacked. it should just be expected.

yes it does. and if i was foolish enough to come on here and say i want to get rid of one of my dogs i would expect to be attacked. it should just be expected.
I think it's expected that forums would have different opinions because not everyone is going to agree with what another person say necessarily but I always find that there is always a way to say things diplomatically and tactfully. It's a given that not everyone would decide the same way and would make the same decisions but I find that when things are said tactfully, they help the person better than rather attacking them for the decisions that they have made or will make. We should be here to help each other and share the information that one may have and another one don't. It should not be expected to be attacked just because the person has made a decision in their lives. Saying that this person is not a good pet owner in my opinion lacks tact, and somewhat some empathy. Obviously if she had had them for 4 years, she and her husband care enough for them to keep that long and had been responsible pet owners. There are times in our lives where we need to make decisions that we thought we'd never make....but then we are caught between a rock and a hard place. She and her husband are at least responsible pet owners because they are looking good homes for their dogs. It must have been a very tough decision to make and I don't doubt for a moment how heart-breaking it must have been for them.

there is always going to be judgement on the boards...that is a given
like i have said in another thread already
i do believe that we all have our opinions and they are valid to each of us...
some are best not expressed on particular threads..
they can easily be spoken about on the topic in general on a separate one
i see nothing wrong with that at all
