Repost about Care.com help / questions
So I just joined Care.com because we are looking for a morning, permanent/part-time babysitter come September - June. So I wrote a job description and I think it is posted. It said 'pending". Do I just wait for responses now? Or do I look and contact people too? I am so confused by this process! How do I know if people are interested? Will there be a notification of some sort? Any guidance on this site is greatly appreciated!

If it's posted you'll probably start getting a lot of responses quickly. Weed through them and respond to the ones you like. I would browse care givers you like, as well, and reach out. But in my experience, I had more than enough people applying to our ad that I didn't have to do much of my own outreach.

Why does it still say 'pending' under My Jobs. I verified my email when it was sent to me. Thanks!

Sorry, I'm not sure. It's been almost a year since I used Care.com. I think maybe Care.com has to approve it? I'm sure there's an FAQ or help section. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
