Care.com questions / help
So I just joined Care.com because we are looking for a morning, permanent/part-time babysitter come September - June. So I wrote a job description and I think it is posted. It said 'pending". Do I just wait for responses now? Or do I look and contact people too? I am so confused by this process! How do I know if people are interested? Will there be a notification of some sort? Any guidance on this site is greatly appreciated!

You can look at caregivers/babysitters looking for p/t work and reach out to them.
But usually if anyone is interested they will reply to your ad and you will get a message. You should be able change the setting under your account to get a notification to your cell that you received a message.

I had the best luck when I contacted sitters that I searched for, narrowing down for the criteria I wanted. The ones who contacted me were often not qualified for what I was looking for, or their schedule didn't match mine. I felt like I got a lot of messages from people who were just messaging everyone that remotely matched them.
