Another pumping questions

Only in the last month I've noticed my left side seems to be an under performer during pumping. When I first noticed it I definitely didn't have a lopsided supply issue, but if I'm not aggressive about coaxing milk out of that side I could see it causing a left side supply issue. I find the left side takes much longer to let down, even if it is the more full side. I think it responds quicker to higher pump strength. So I'll turn the pump up and my right side is pouring out and the left side is lightly spraying. It's kind of annoying! I didn't notice a difference during my first couple months with the pump, only more recently. Is this normal?

Another pumping questions

I exclusively pump and have low supply so I record my output down to the milliliter! My right boob produces half of what my left boob does. Since I started recording my pumps, my left has produced 292.18 oz and my right has produced 143.87oz. No matter what I do, i can't get righty to catch up. It happens.

Another pumping questions

I get a lot more on my left than my right when I pump. I often have double the volume on the left.

Most people have a "stud" and "dud" lol and I read somewhere that 75% of women produce more milk on the right side!

Re: Another pumping questions

I produce so much more (which isn't a huge amount) on my right side. My left gives me just about an ounce. I had heard that it could be because I sleep on my left side...it kind of made sense to me. I always sleep on my left side. I don't know if that is the reason why I only pump an ounce from that side, but it could be!

I produced more from my right side for months. I started nursing and pumping more from my left to try to even it out and now I produce more from my left.

My left side has always been a poor performer. LOL I would get double the volume. My OB said that its completely normal.

Another pumping questions

My left side usually makes twice as much milk, though I just finished pumping and they both made the same measly 1 oz each. :( I'm EPing and supplementing and there's no way I can ever feed her just my milk. :(

I am the same way except my supply has slowly increased but we still have to supplement. Free feel to FM me any time. I've only been doing this for almost 10 weeks but I feel like I've become an expert lol.
