another allergy question
DS is 19 months so this is the first time I'm seeing how bad his allergies are. Last night was beyond miserable. I'm pretty sure he's allergic to something in the house. He's already on claritin and then we give him benadryl right before bed but once the benadryl wears off he wakes up in coughing fits. My question is what can I do for him? He woke up crying and I tried to go in and give him water but he has no interest in drinking and you can tell he was uncomfortable and exhausted. Is it better to just let him cough and hope he goes back to sleep? It's really hard to listen to and last night was the worst it's been. He's hoarse today from coughing all night :(

Re: another allergy question
We've tried all meds & find Zyrtec to work the best. On bad nights Benadryl with cool mist humidifier running. We can't open windows in his room or any room he spends a lot of time in

Re: another allergy question
Do you have the windows closed? Maybe the air is bothering hm - maybe turn on the a/c. We did that last night and it seemed to help our son a little bit.

Re: another allergy question
well when the house first got warm we opened the windows and learned the hard way how bad his allergies were. We turned on the air and he seemed a bit better. Now they are horrible again, the worst they've been. We have someone coming to clean the vents tomorrow and we're going to purchase some air purifiers. Hopefully that works. I don't know what else to do for him
