relieving engorged breasts when formula feeding

How do I do this? They aren't really hurting except for a little but every once in a while, I get a wet spot. With my first son, I pumped but really ended up producing nothing, which is why I am formula feeding my second. I am just trying to prevent the pain that I hear about!

Do not get them wet with warm water in the shower, wear tight sports bra.. oh and cabbage leaves worked wonders!

Ice packs! Helps with the swelling. I never did the cabbage leaves. You will leak for awhile.

I took two newborn diapers, filled them with water, stuck them in freezer. Placed them in tight sports bra. Did this all day long replacing the diapers as they thawed with new frozen ones. Within 36 hours it stopped!
Plus like pp said, in the shower stand away from the warm water.

I have to say I didn't have to do much. Pain went away in a few days, it was nothing to recall. Maybe yours won't be too bad?

It was 3 days of pain... I lived with bags of ice on my boobs. I just kept putting them in the freezer and would smash them to break it apart so I could kinda mold it around each boob.
shower with a sports bra, don't let them get wet with hot water and change into a dry bra as fast as humanly possible when you get out of the shower.
