Life vest, swimmies for a 15 month old
I don't think ds will fit in puddle jumpers. He will be 15 months this summer. We are renting a house in North Carolina this summer and it has a built in pool. He is a wild man and I want him to be wearing something if he at all near the pool. What did you use at 15 months ?

Life vest, swimmies for a 15 month old
We started with swimmies and still use them at 2.5 I feel that they teach my DD to kick her legs to keep herself higher up in the water. She is not just relying on a life jacket or puddle jumper. She has never had a fear of the water though, so they may not work with a child who is nervous in water.

If you want him to wear something near the pool because you are worried about him falling in then without a doubt a life vest. He definitely wouldn't fit in a puddle jumper. They are for 30+ pounds and bigger kids.

Take him to target and try the puddle jumpers. I know they say 30 lbs but my ds is 23 at 2 years old they fit him fine.

Im also trying to decide what to get DS for vacation. I just want something for him in the pool. He will be 14 months. He will be too small for the puddle jumper and i hate the vests bc they seem to choke them in the water.

Re: Life vest, swimmies for a 15 month old
We went to Florida recently and I bought my DD a swim vest from ToysRUs. I wanted her to have something on by the pool. When she was in the water, we held her the whole time, so we weren't looking for something that would keep her afloat on her own. I just felt it was better to have her in something when she was walking around just in case. My DD had a Hello Kitty vest, but this is similar for boys. The Small/Medium was for 20-30 lbs.

Definitely this..a life vest has a better fit than a puddle jumper for that age. I've used both and although you can probably get away with the puddle jumper the vest is definitely better and safer.
