Woody Allen-Thoughts?

His relationship with Soon Yi skeeved me- but she was an adult- somehow I never knew that the other allegations were this serious and he was actually investigated. I read his daughter's NYT piece and it's pretty convincing. I always loved his movies but I don't know if I can bring myself to watch them again.

Re: Woody Allen-Thoughts?

To he seems like a sicko. His current wife was his adopted daughter, that is sick, without knowing anything else about any other kids...

Re: Woody Allen-Thoughts?

Chat Icon Ugh, Ok so from what I read from multiple sources; here's how it goes:
He molests the 7 year old Dylan and she tells her mom. At this point they are separated and in court etc. Mia does call the police, etc. but the DA decided not to follow through because of the fragile condition of Dylan and what I trial would do to her. It sounds to me like the DA was afraid of "Hollywood" Woody and dropped the ball. Evidently this is a widely known accusation and even his biological son made comments after the Golden Globes pointing to his guilt. He's a sicko.

Woody Allen-Thoughts?

I just read about it in the paper and I really hate him now. I always thought his relationship with Soon Yi was weird, and now this? He should be in jail.

I think he is a filthy pig. I have since he started the relationship with Soon Yi. Anyone who gets involved with and marries his young daughter or step daughter clearly is sick and has issues.
The fact that he was quietly investigating for this years ago and it was obviously swept under the rug makes me sick. Hoping that Hollywood FINALLY turns on this pedophile. He needs to be locked up!

He's sick
I always believed there is something deeply disturbing
Not shocked in the least and always wondered ..

He's admittedly said he goes to therapy - what is it - 4 times a week? For years and years?

While creative and a talent .. He still sickens me. And I believe the allegations.

I really hope they investigate these allegations. Just because he's a high profile celebrity shouldn't allow him to get a pass.

I really never 'followed' the allegations or knew much about them.

Another interesting article, which sort of discusses the 'other' side.

I read this article too and it raises lots of doubts as to whether or not this accusation is true. I don't like it when everyone jumps on the bandwagon to accuse someone without knowing all the facts. Obviously, if it happened, that is disgusting. However, I wasn't there and I don't know the truth so I will withhold judgement.

Thanks for sharing. I always thought Mia Farrow was a bit of a nut. I do believe her daughter truly thinks she was molested. But now that I've read the Daily Beast article, I don't know. I can see Mia planting the idea in her child's head to get back at him. It's also interesting that one of their other kids has cut ties with her and reestablished his relationship with Woody.

This article is really really interesting. Wow.

I do think that Dylan thinks it happened -- but that doesn't mean it did.

And the points about Soon Yi are interesting as well. Yes it's gross she was so young but legally he wasn't doing anything wrong with her

Re: Woody Allen-Thoughts?

My problem with the daily beast article is that it is so blatantly bias. It is a friend of Woody, who also has an interest in his innocence because he has his own film to protect. He is a documentary film maker, he knows how to make people think what he wants them to think by laying out all the "facts". I am more curious about what Woody has to say when he has his own response.

I agree with you, except for his facts he states, ie Soon Yi's age, etc. Those aren't bias

I agree with the bias 100%. But like katiebug said, he knows how to sprinkle facts into the story to give credibility to his story.

Yeah I mean he makes some good points. I didnt kow the whole Soon Yi story but to me there is still a pervsion there even if she was technically 18, it is your GF's DD, that is gross and you KNEW her and were a "father figure" when she was underage...

I have always been a huge Woody Allen fan, but have been indifferent to his personal issues. Mia Farrow herself is no angel - and I think she is a woman scorned. I just don't believe that he is guilty of the things he is being accused of. I think he is a brilliant filmmaker and will continue to be a fan.
