I feel really bad for the girls, they are probably humiliated. It was totally unnecessary for them to be on the show.

I think Jon's comments are terrible, his daughters will read that and feel even worse.

It seemed pretty typical I think for the age. I mean they probably woke up real early to do this show possibly fighting right before, moody and that's how it will come across. At this point those girls would speak out if they didn't like anything. They know their mother is nasty and they look like they give it right back.

I don't think they hate their mom, I think they were asked questions on the spot, one was clearly more shy than the other and couldn't speak.
They were probably told not to be honest, to sugar coat how it really is, and didn't want to get in trouble with Kate after. The one girl would not come out and say things were perfect, she was beating around the bush.
At their age, life is far from perfect, esp when you are fighting with your mom on a constant basis, because that is what most teenagers do. Is Kate perfect, NO, I think she is a tyrant, but when dealing with that many children, and the expense, I may be a stressed out hot mess too.
I don't agree with what she does, but I think the girls were nervous and didn't know exactly what to say.

It was definitely uncomfortable to watch, but being a teenager is also not comfortable. I felt bad for them. I don't think Kate's a bad mom. I saw her on one of those reality shows where they switch the parents and I thought she ran a pretty good household for a single mom taking care of 8 on her own. She has a type A personality and I also think the older girls have a lot of stress put on them and are expected to grow up more.

I can't say if she's a bad mom or not but to me she seems desperate to stay relevant. Even the most famous of people drop off the radar. She went through her fame cycle and no one cares any more. She does not have to worry about footing the bill for college for her kids, she needs to realize that she should try and live a more modest lifestyle and be there for her kids. Even though she has 8 of them she still has it a lot easier than many other women.

“She went type-A crazy,” says our insider. “She was upset that they had a chance to speak for themselves and defend her and they blew it. She told them, ‘You embarrassed mommy,’ and some people heard. She was not happy.”

to me it def seemed like he was trying to force feed their responses. It seemed like they had perhaps talked about what they were supposed to be saying beforehand and the girls weren't following the program. I swear I think fire was about to shoot out of kate's eyes

I honestly don't think john said anything all that bad. sure he got a little douchey midlife crisis-ish after the divorce...but you have to remember she was ***** to him...on national television. He finally has a voice of his own and some freedom. Can't say I blame him.

Yeesh. That was uncomfortable. The one who spoke seemed like she was having an inner debate of whether to stick to the script or say what she felt. Honestly it felt like Kate was holding a hidden knife behind her back or something, trying to prod them to speak. "Yes or no, just say yes or no."

As for Jon Gosselin's comments, he's spot on, but he shouldn't have said it. I would feel hurt if I read that my dad said those things about me- that I was like a deer in headlights or awkward on TV. Even if it's true.

What was even the point of being on the show?!? To plant a seed Kate would like another reality show? To put her foot in the water and check the temperature to see how receptive we would be of that?

I don't think they were out to sabotage their mom. It looks to me like they were just plain shy with the cameras in their face, on live TV, being put on the spot. I think it's been a while since they were on TV, and knowing how teens act, this just seems "normal" for most of them.

I have no doubt that Kate was mad, but I don't think the girls had any ill intent.

Actually I just watched the whole interview, not just the TMZ clip, and def. don't think they were "against their mother". Obviously plain to me to see they were just shy. Especially since the one whispered to her mom something about being more fabulous, which she was just obviously too shy to say herself.

^ I didn't watch the whole interview, but I feel like they are just shy. They're teenagers now. Their friends might watch. The boys they like could see it. KWIM? I'm sure Kate felt like a dumbass, but whatever. and I think Jon is a douche. He should not say those things about those kids and their mother. His ex-wife.

They are on TV for an interview and totally went numb. I think Kate was just trying to do damage control to break the silence. They did better on The View.

whats slightly more uncomfortable is watching Jon & his GF on couples therapy... they were just brought on the show a couple weeks ago
