I have a 3 year old and I am DREADING having to take her to Disney. It is SOOOO intimidating, it's like you need a 4 year degree to figure it out.
All these threads make me even more nervous.
I am not the anal, organized, planning type.
This seems like WAY too much work for a vacation.
Stress!!!!!

I know. It's a PITA too have to weed through all the Disney questions. I'm sure it's super helpful to those going to Disney though. I've still got a few more years before i'll be asking those questions.

I think you just kind of have to decide not to stress about it. we're taking 3-year old DS at the end of February... and I haven't been going nuts planning. I only booked 2 meals ahead of time, the rest we'll just grab quick-service. we're staying at the Disney Fort Wilderness Campground in my parents big RV. I'm not even buying our park tickets ahead of time. I have a friend and a cousin who both work for Disney and will probably be able to get us in free for 2 of the days. I'm gonna see how DS does those 2 days before we spend money on tickets for the other days. If he gets overwhelmed, no big deal- we'll hang out at the campground, swim, go around and visit some of the other resorts, etc. I think when you plan too much and have really high expectations, its more disappointing if it doesn't go exactly right. plus, it stresses the kids out because you HAVE to be here or there at a certain time. we figure we'll do what we can and what he seems up for, and we can always go back!

That's why you use a Disney Travel Specialist like me! No cost to you and no stress either!
Even if you don't use a travel agent, it's only as stressful as you let it be.
Don't get caught up in what everyone tells you to do or what their must dos are or whatever, just go with the flow and have a good time!
For what it's worth, I would LOVE a Disney board! I've been saying that since I joined the site when I got married. :)

My thoughts exactly. I feel like the only person who could care less about ever going there.
When I hear Disney, I think HOT, Long lines, crowds & $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
No thanks.
I want a REAL vacation. Beach, sand, ocean and never EVER having to cook or wait on line for a single thing.

I remember when my mom planned my disney trip... She had a minute by minute detailed itinerary that she printed out that looked like a book! All the reservations. Where we were going each day... I still don't know how's he did it all without losing her damn mind

I really, really wish they would make a Disney board. I often come to this board looking for NON-DISNEY info, and it's honestly a chore to sift through all the Disney threads. It's very annoying.
