If you were going away for the holidays...
I have a small artificial tree I put up the years we spend Christmas with DH's family in Vermont. It is a table top tree that takes very little time to decorate.

Yes. We are going to Vermont for Christmas - leaving the 22nd- but we will still put up a tree. My oldest is 8. I am trying to convince dc to get a smaller tree, but they insist it has to be full size. They will probably win

I go away every year and even before kids i put the Tree up Thanksgiving weekend. It is not the same without it!
