i thought it was an ending fitting to the season. Could have been better, but it worked for me.

I have never liked or trusted Hannah, so i don't like that Dexter just left Harrison in her care. But, that also goes along with most of Dexter's parenting choices since Harrison was born. I mean, he never spent time with his son, EVER. He would choose to go off and chase killers and investigate people rather than see his son, all the time. He left him in the care of Jamie, and she was more of a mother to Harrison than Dexter ever was a father. So, in that respect, him leaving Harrison with Hannah was completely in character (i just don't agree with it)

I loved the exchange between Dexter, Quinn and Batista after Dexter killed Saxon. Thought it was perfect!

i sobbed uncontrollably when Dexter rode up to the hospital in his killing clothes because i knew what he was going to do with Deb and it just touched something in me. And then when he took her body and rode into the storm, i just lost it. I thought he was going to kill himself too, so when he didn't, it was a bit of a shock.

I think he did what he had to do - he realized that everyone around him that he loves dies because of him, so he made sure Hannah and Harrison were safe. And now he lives out his life alone.

Will he kill again? yeah, i'm sure he will. But the days of the pseudo vigilante are gone

I saw it last night and I have to say... I'm not pissed like many others... I get why he had to start a new identity- everything he touches turns to shit and he didn't want to drag Hannah and Harrison down with him. Sad that Harrison had to lose his real mother and his father though.

I get the symbolism of throwing deb into the ocean... Did I like it? No... I think she deserved a better "burial"

I was surprised when dexter didn't kill himself... Makes you wonder how he survived through the storm. I think the season was left very open ended which makes me wonder if it's truly the end.

I really loved when they showed that Batista and Quinn "get" dexter and why he did what he did to Saxon... It's like dexter had more people on his side who could see why he kills without knowing his true past.

All in all I didn't think it was a bad finale... I think some people just didn't understand the depth of it. I don't think any one ending would have made everyone happy kwim?

I thought that all of these seasons the viewers fell in love with this guy forgetting that he is a sociopath. I thought it would have been great for them to really show you what a sociopath he was by killing those he loved. I am surprised that it ended with us seeing that he had mercy for Deb. After all, he is a serial killer.

didn't care for the finale. they have put that character through the ringer over the years. I would have like to have seen hannah double cross dexter and him being forced to kill her....or maybe she kills him. and harrison ends up with Aunt Deb and Quinn.

Oh well...

Just finished watching the finale - I know I'm late
Did anyone else feel that Hannah may have been slowly poisoning Deb? There were scenes focusing in her cooking and than she did not survive the surgery
