Cold spring harbor fish hatchery
Has anyone been here? They have a lot of exhibits and fall festival this Saturday. Just wondering if it's worth it to go out there.

I don't know how it is when they have events going on but we go often. Its small and you can do it in an hour or so, but its definitely cute and the kids love it.

Thanks. Do you bring your own fishing equipment? The festival ends at 4:30 and we won't get there til 1:30 so I'm not sure if that's enough time.

we went a few weeks ago and my 3 year old LOVED it, moreso than the Bronx Zoo even. Its small so not at all overwhelming. Tons of fish, turtles etc. Plan maybe 2 hours max but worth it! You can always take a walk in town after

My toddler enjoyed it when we used to live in NYC. It is definitely worth a visit but I would not have very high expectations. It is small and you can do the whole place in like an hr, maybe 2 hrs max.

There is info on their website for the fishing.

We went to the spring festival, they supply the fishing equipment. You basically catch 4 inch long baby fish.

Cold spring harbor fish hatchery
We just went the other day. My DD had so much fun feeding the fish turtles, but don't expect it to hold their attention for more than an hour at most. The fishing wasn't open so I can not comment on that
