Daycare and starting solids. I'm so confused.
My dd just started solids, she'll be 5m next week. We made a batch of bananas last night so they are now in individual containers. Daycare asked for a food plan. I'm at a loss. When should she have the food? I give her a bottle at 6 am only a couple of ounces and them daycare gives her a full bottle whenever she is hungry. Do I tell them to give her the bananas before the bottle, do they heat it up? The first batch is just refrigerated but I plan to freeze more when we make it. If its a frozen cube do they heat it up or do I thaw it out the night before? And do I bring a bowel for her or do they feed her from the container? They said they would follow my instructions but I don't know what instructions to give.
Help.

Daycare and starting solids. I'm so confused.
When my DS started solids I would just give them containers of food and we started with breakfast only so I just told them in the morning....I didn't give them an exact time since they need to work with the other babies too.
Then when we did 2 meals I just sent in the 2 and said whichever for lunch or breakfast it relly didn't matter.
My daycare is easy about things. I didn't have to send in any utensils or bowls.

This exactly They're pretty much experts their and knew more than me. When I started solids they just told me to bring in whatever he was eating and said they'd work with him on it as well. I also sent in a container of Puffs for them to keep there and usually Mondays I sent in a bunch of different baby foods, etc. THey ask you cut up their foods except bananas that they did themselves. Although I didn't always cut it up bc they said they would do it.

Re: Daycare and starting solids. I'm so confused.
When DS started we originally said 1 hours before bottle for his breakfast. Now we just told them around 10am. We actually just added lunch this weekend and its funny, cause I forgot to tell them when to give it to him so I guess I should call!
I don't make food, but if it is frozen, I would just put it in the fridge the day/night before and they can leave it in the fridge. I would think you would not want bananas heated, but I know they call the Directors in to come and get the food and heat it for them when they need to.

Daycare and starting solids. I'm so confused.
I just sent the food in little containers portioned out for his meals (or snack). I make a lot of food in batches and freeze them so what I do is take out the food the night before (frozen in ice cube shape in freezer bags) and put them in the containers frozen in the fridge. They're usually defrosted by the time i get up in the morning.

It's really up to you how you want to do it. We started DS on his first meal at dinner time so DH and I could be home. Then we quickly added another meal b/w his 2nd and 3rd bottles, which is the early afternoon. I usually feed him about 3 hours after a bottle and then he gets another bottle 1-2 hours after the food. It stretches longer as they begin to eat more and drink less.
