Details of Gia Allemand's suicide

Gia Allemand hanged herself with vacuum cleaner cord while on the phone with her mom after fight with beau Ryan Anderson: source.

Tragic TV beauty Gia Allemand hanged herself with a vacuum cleaner cord just hours after an emotional fight with her pro-basketball playing boyfriend, a police source said.

"There was an argument," the source said Tuesday, confirming a report on TMZ.com.
According to TMZ, the Howard Beach-bred model who was a finalist on Season 14 of "The Bachelor" had accused NBA basketball player Ryan Anderson of being unfaithful during a lunch date Aug. 14, the day she died.

During the ride back to her New Orleans residence, Anderson told Allemand, "I don't love you anymore," TMZ said.

Allemand, 29, then called her mother and reportedly was on the phone with her when she tried to end her life.
She tied the vacuum cleaner cord to the handrail on the second floor, the source told The News.

Her mom reportedly told cops that during the distressing call, the phone simply went "silent."
The mother tried in vain to communicate with Allemand for 10 minutes, TMZ reported.

Anderson later returned to the house and found Allemand with the cord wrapped around her neck.

Allemand's wake will be held at the Papavero Funeral home on Grand Ave. in Maspeth, Queens, on Wednesday.
She will be laid to rest following a Thursday morning funeral at Trinity Grace Church on W. 22nd Street in Chelsea.
Her dad told the Daily News that he plans to attend the services and say his final farewell.

“She’s my daughter, my only kid. It’s shattering me,” Eugene Allemand told the News late Tuesday.
He said he wished he’d been there for his daughter last week after the alleged argument with Anderson.
“She had a hard time with rejection, with other boyfriends in the past,” he recalled. “What if I reached out? Maybe I could have changed the outcome. That’s what’s tearing me apart.”
He said even though he’s estranged from Gia’s mom Donna Micheletti, he was “heartbroken” that she was on the phone with their daughter moments before she died.
“She was so close to Gina,” he said, referring to his daughter by her given name. “We don’t really get along, but my heart still goes out to her.”

Ryan Anderson fought to save the life of Gia Allemand, when he came home and found the Bachelor and Bachelor Pad star hanging by the door, a new report claims. A neighbor, who allegedly helped Ryan try to resuscitate Gia, said the NBA player was completely “distraught” at the sight of his girlfriend’s nearly lifeless body.

“I thought I heard someone calling for help, so I sprinted down there,” Gia’s neighbor Mike Simpson told People magazine. He said he heard a “high-pitched bellowing” sound before he “pushed the door open and saw a guy bear-hugging someone to his chest.” That guy was Ryan, who found her “hanging from a metal staircase by the door,” the magazine reported.

“[Ryan] said, ‘She hung herself,’ and I looked over and that’s when I saw the rope,” Mike said.

Soon after, another neighbor entered the apartment and handed Mike a phone to call 911.

The former Bachelor star, 29, was lying on the floor when the 911 operator instructed Mike to do CPR. Ryan, who was reportedly crying uncontrollably, began to do chest compressions on Gia.

“He just kept yelling her name, ‘Why, Gia? Why?’ Just sobbing,” Mike said about Ryan.

When the EMS guy arrived, “he asked how long she had been like this, and [Ryan] said, ‘I was gone for an hour and I came home and she was like this.’ He didn’t say it calmly. He said something to the effect of, ‘I wasn’t gone for more than an hour.’ I just remember thinking, he is just so distraught.”

We can’t imagine what Ryan is going through right now. Mike explained that the NBA player was in complete shock.

He said, “[Ryan] was distraught, it was his girlfriend and he was fighting though all of those demons to take care of her. I think that was the hardest part for me. It was watching him. He just kept saying, ‘Gia, Gia, Gia.’ “

Gia Allemand’s Family Preparing ‘Beautiful Service’
The details of Ryan’s fight to save Gia are absolutely heartbreaking. Our thoughts continue to go out to Gia’s friends and family at this difficult time.

Gia’s funeral will be held on August 22 at Trinity Grace Church in Chelsea, New York City.
