did any of your other children have one?

The discovered DD had one at birth. It closed after a year and she's been released for cardiologist. I'm pregnant with DC 2 and the doctor at my 20w said heart looks good but I have to go for fetal echo because of DD's history.

Of course, I'm doing it but I'm just curious if your first had a VSD, did any other your other DC have it?

Both of my kids had/have it. DD was born with one and I was told to follow up at 3 months. At that time it had closed up on its own. DS also was born with one but it is very very small. We actually have a follow up appt next month to see if it has closed up. Both of my kids were preemies. Even though DD had one, there was no additional follow up with my 2nd pregnancy, probably because it closed so quickly and probably would have closed up before she was even born, if she was full term (she was born almost 8 weeks early).

My first didn't, my second did. I had to go for the Fetal Echo for this one and all looks good!

ETA: DD2 was checked at 3 months by the cardiologist and he said he didn't need to see her again until she's 2 (which is in December). He wants to see this one after birth at 3 months (which is also in December)
