Lots of activities in a day and your kids...
Funny, I listen to some friends (not all), but they can do sooo much in a day and their kids are still great. I have 2 boys. 4 and 2 and I feel like they are done after one big one then they can get cranky. Even if it's the weekend and DH have to run to a few places with the boys like Lowes, Wegmans, BRU, etc by the 3rd store they are done. Maybe even the end of the 2nd store. Of course even bigger activities like if we go to the beach for a few hours with no naps for my 2 yr old when we get home that's it. We went to Sesame Place on Saturday and then my brother's GF invited us for dinner at 7PM. We got home from Sesame at 5PM (there since 10AM and it takes less that an hour to get there from us) we were considering it, but when we got home the boys were in meltdown mode. I have friends that can do the beach, stop shopping on the way home then to dinner and then a quick swim... I can't even imagine all that with my boys. Am I the only ones who's kids can't do all that and still be in good moods?

No - my boys don't do well when they are overplanned and tired. My friend's kids are super adaptable though and it amazes me.

Her kids prob sleep 12 hrs a night & maybe eat well. You have a 4 & 2 yr old.so i wouldn't expect a marathon day out of them..my kids are older & have some stamina but not when they were that age...shoot "I" would run out of steam.after 1 hr @ the beach then store..well maybe after a gallon of coffee. Maybe her kids are on energy drinks..lol jk

My guy can do a lot. But, my Dh and I are like that. We just keep going. So that is all DS has ever known, KWIM? He just goes with the flow. If he passes out we put him in a stroller. But, not all kids are like that. And we only have one.

I get that and DH and I used to be more like that. Especially bc we both worked full time (even before kids) so weekends were fitting in a lot from errands, seeing family and friends. My older DS is 4 and a bit more sensitive and moody about things so there's just some times in the day he gets cranky. Too much and he'll just whine. Still good, but to us I can't deal with too much whining. Even others have commented him moody is still good, but I see it that he's just done. Plus, my 2 yr old is good, but needs a nap. I've skipped them before and he's ok then will pass out in the car

Re: Lots of activities in a day and your kids...
My boys are exactly like yours (3&4yo). My kids are only good for a few hours, and once they are done it gets ugly. We take them home to rest/ nap because they can't handle a full day. We can never go out for the day and have dinner plans, ever! They need to rest in between. It's tough making plans with people because we always need a big break in the middle if the day. My kids fly out of bed in the morning and are so active, by mid day they are exhausted. My older is starting K in September, and I can not register him for any after school activities bc he can't deal yet.
A lot of kids can handle it, and other parents don't understand why we need to end our beach / museum/ whatever activity days so early ( by 2 or 3 the latest)
