the Killing (finale) with spoilers
Eh.
Now it makes sense and is blatenly obvious, he was the only character around when the original Seward case was happening...
As usual, a crappy cliffhanger ending from them considering they dont know if they're going to have another season. Even if they do come back for season 4, I'm guessing they'll gloss right over it. Holder will mention in passing something like "Hey Linden, arent you glad that nobody cared about you killing him? How about this new case..."

the Killing (finale) with spoilers
I actually really liked it. They wrapped up the storylines in ways that were consistent, thought not what I necessarily wanted. Twitch seems to be on the right path, Lyric is tragically falling back into her old ways, Callie is dead, and her mom, on some level, knows that she died because she was so neglectful. The bald prison guard has viewed the world in black and white, and now his son will be occupying a cell. The other prison guard will be ok and hopefully wont be dehumanized the way the bald guy was. I dont think the choice of Skinner as the killer was great, but I guess there weren't many other options. I think the actor was great, but I still wasn't really buying his explanation. It was so chilling when he couldn't even remember Callie.
A couple of things that didn't make sense to me - Skinner giving his daughter the ring. Made for a good tv moment, but not plausible.
They never explained why Reddick never admitted knowing the first victim.
The whole long car ride with Skinner and Linden. I guess he felt the cops were closing in and he needed to come clean - but the whole "we'll drive around for hours and I'll try and get you to shoot me" was unsatisfying.
And then the ending. I kind of like how it was unresolved. The Killing certainly doesn't put a bow on it like a lot of other police procedurals. But I feel like Linden is too good a cop to do what she did in the end.
Hightlightsof the episode for me - 1. when Linden realizes who the killer is - the slow motion tracking shot with the sprinkler and the kid on the bicycle. 2. When Holder and Linden are in the car and he finds out she and Skinner are together. 3. When Holder's girlfriend says "you're a half step up for me" and he responds, "You must have dated a lot of losers before me."
I almost wish the killer had been Jablonski (who I dont think we ever saw in the series - but was described as being completely without skills).

Re: the Killing (finale) with spoilers
I didn't love it. It was obvious it had to be Skinner or Reddick and it ended up being pretty predictable. Considering the writers are making the story up I wish they could find a way to be a little more original with who the killer is.
And how is is possible he didn't remember Kallie? There is just no way anyone could believe that. His daughter is walking around with her ring AND she was a huge part of the investigation.
The idea of Linden having another mental/emotional breakdown is seriously boring at this point.
But actually, I ended up really liking Reddick and wouldn't mind seeing more of Holder and him if there is another season. I don't like Linden and never really did.

I liked it. I like of felt sad for Linden...she finally was going to be happy and she turned out to be in love with a serial killer. I thought they redeemed Reddick at the end and he turned out pretty decent. I also don't think that Callie is dead. It wouldn't surprise me if her story line came back next season. The ring may not have been given to the daughter by Skinner. Maybe she was involved with the boyfriend doing porn and he gave it to her. I still think that is up in the air as I don't understand why he would have given it to his daughter when the rest were kept in the box. Love Holder and I could watch him for hours.

Re: the Killing (finale) with spoilers
I was under the impression that the story line for Callie is still open. The fact that he didn't remember her and they never found her made me think that. I know there are still girls missing but the ones that he killed more recently were all found. I thought maybe the daughter got the ring from someone else.
BTW, which one was Angie? The one that tipped off Bullet? Or someone else?
The thing with this show is that there are so many random characters that you are always expecting them to somehow be a part of the killing. Like the guy that raped Bullet or the prison guard or the drug addict guy (Lyric's boyfriend..his name escapes me). Was Lyric getting into the car with his parole officer?
