Me too - I was hoping it was going to happen but, after the way he left abruptly and went to Europe - I didn't see it happening.

And I can already foresee some story lines.
1. Rufus and Lily's son they thought was dead is alive and becomes friends with Dan....they met last night at the coffee bar.
2. Btw Blair and that cooky girl (forgot her name at the moment) will have a memorable first semester together as roommates!
I wonder how they will bring Serena back to NYC with all the others?

I think serena spends most of the summer trying to find her dad and misses the first semester at Brown.
Does anyone still wonder who gossip girl is? I have an odd feeling its blair's minions....of course they never really say in the books either.
I'm also upset Jenny is "queen"
