New Cell....which one?
I need a new cell phone. But I am still mid contract so I am going to buy out my contract. Because of that I dont want to go spend a ton on a phone too.
I am thinking of the Iphone 4s or the Samsung Galaxy 3.
Which would you get (feel free to recommend others)
I had an iPhone 5 which was lost. Then I went to a hand me down Droid which died! I liked both.

I'm team Samsung Galaxy S3 all the way. I love the size of it. I've had it for about 7 months or so and everyday I discover something new I can do with it. It's really awesome.

I don't like the Samsung just because it's huge. I like that the iPhone 4S can fit in my pocket. Otherwise, I don't feel like there is much of a difference.

I have the Galaxy S3 and like it because the screen is big, the phone is thin and is lightweight. I don't use half the functions it has.
DH has a Droid and wishes he got the Galaxy because of the screen size.
We never considered the iPhone.

I'm no phone expert (I only switched from my OLD OLD OLD phone b/c it finally died) but I am loving my Iphone 4s. My only complaint is the battery life. It takes great photos (I do a lot of stuff on ebay) and its even good for recording sound. I'm sure I don't use it to its full potential (I have like 4 apps) but I really enjoy it thus far.

If you are switching to Verizon, Target had a great deal in June on the price of the iPhone (if you trade in an old smart phone its free for the 4S and $50 for the 5), if you sign up for Verizon at the store. DH was just there yesterday and told me he thinks they are running the same promotion again. (And it doesn't matter if the phone you trade in is working or not)

Im due for a new phone too-- I want the SSG3 but I use group messaging on iMessage a lot, would I no longer be able to do group messages on the SSG3?

You can still do group messaging. I am able to with my Droid to my iphone friends.
Is the SGS3 much bigger in size than the iphone 5? I had hte iphone5 with an otterbox case on it. and while it was big it didnt bother me.

It's a lot wider. I don't know if it's any taller. Then again, the iPhone 5 with an otterbox case is pretty big to me, too! That's what my DH has now.

SGS3! I've never been an Apple fan & had a BB & then we t to android, but I loooove this phone! SO had the iPhone 3, 3S, 4 & then the 5. He saw my GS3 & wanted it. His 5 cracked a couple of weeks ago & he had the opportunity toget another 5 or the GSG4 & took the galaxy. He loves it & said I made him an android convert.
