Team Green vs. Finding Out- if you've done both
Regular poster in hiding here. DH and I are going to start trying for our next baby in a couple months. We were Team Green both of our other pregnancies and DH is pushing to find out next time around. We've been talking about it a lot recently. For me, there was nothing like that moment of finding out the gender after working so hard pushing our baby out. It was a magical moment (twice!). I really really really don't want to find out next time because I don't want to lose that moment. So I'm curious- if you did it both ways, which was better? Or did it make no difference? Anyone regret finding out or regret staying Team Green?

I was Team Green with my DD and I agree with you, finding out in the moment that she was a girl was just amazing. So, so amazing. DH ran out to tell everyone and it was such an exciting surprise.
Then with my DS we found out at our anatomy scan and I have to say, at least for me, it was such a letdown to just hear it from the sono tech. It was definitely not as exciting as finding out in the delivery room. In hindsight, I wish I had stayed Team Green the second time around too.

My DH and kids really wanted to find out the sex with this baby...we were team green for the other two...I was only willing to find out if we made it special in some way, so we had a big gender reveal party for all of our friends and family...We went all out to celebrate and had an awesome time...It was an awesome moment when we cut our cake and everyone we loved was there with us finding out! I will say it has been easier getting things ready being that I have two other kids at home already...the nursery is done and her clothes are all washed and ready, which I never had done in the past when I didn't know. We are probably going to try for one more in a year and a half or so, and we'll probably find out again, with a gender reveal party.

Team Green vs. Finding Out- if you've done both
I was Team Green with DC1 and did a gender reveal birthday cake with DC2 (my bday was a week after my 20 wk appt). Honestly, I can't say that one way was better than the other as they both had their advantages. Yes, the anticipation with DC1 was exciting, but so was shopping for girl clothes for DC2 because I knew she was a girl. I am glad we didn't find out in the OB's office and did a gender reveal cake because it made my birthday so much more memorable and made the revelation exciting and special.
