Re: Color scheme girl nursery

We did a classic pooh theme. The walls are painted green, we have cream colored accents, and the furniture is dark wood.

Re: Color scheme girl nursery

I haven't made any moves yet, but I was thinking of doing grey, white, and pink. I want to do the walls in a very light grey but I don't know if that will be too "serious" for a baby, so I may do a really light pink. I think I want the theme to be ballerinas, but we'll see how that goes!

We're team green, but we just painted our nursery gray and yellow and plan to add either pink/coral for a girl or blue/green for a boy. I have so many ideas pinned on pintrest. LOL!

I'm teamChat Icon so I am painting the walls a light mint green and I thought that would look really pretty with pink if its a girl.

Re: Color scheme girl nursery

We never found out what we were having when we had my dd, we were team green like we are this time around too. The house we bought had a nursery in it that had a cow jumps over the moon theme, sort of neutral but I would say leaned a little bit to the boy side because it had a dark blue carpet. But I said let's leave it because I have a 50% chance it will be perfect! Well when our girl arrived, I had to run out and get some pink accents to add to the room to make it look a little more girly. It ended up working out fine and her room was adorable.
BUT... When it came time to put her in a big girl bed, I decided to move her into another room we had and I did a complete reno on the room and went ultra girly. Lol! I think I felt the need to do the girly room I never got to do when she was a baby. I went with a pink/light brownish/white room with the vanilla colored furniture. These pictures are from almost a year ago, I have since hung some things on the wall and finished the pillows on her bed, etc.. I find this stuff so much fun! Happy decorating to you!!! Re: Color scheme girl nursery

Here are pics of my DD's nursery. It is not complete in these pics. After these were taken, I put white picture frame molding around all the brown boxes, and the cradle was eventually replaced by a dark brown crib. And the dressers were replaced by dressers that match the crib. Also, I put 3 crowns vertically in the box above the cradle, and 3 shelves, stacked vertically in the other empty box on the wall.

Thank you!! I hand picked all the fabrics and trim at a place called Mill End Shops and worked with a very talented sewer and she made all the treatments, bedding and pillows. Just felt like the main fabric, which was a toile, was very girly and feminine.
