I have read on here that a lot of people use coconut oil. I used to know a mom who used olive oil every night.
I use Cetaphil in the big tub. I hav also heard that ceraVe works well.

Cjs butter from jack be natural! Free shipping. It's good for everything. We use it as a diaper cream, and dh has been using it on his eczema!

I used Aquaphor on DD bc everything else made her break out, especially Aveeno. I just started using coconut oil instead and it goes on so much easier and doesn't leave her all sticky and greasy.

Re: 9 month old with dry skin-what to use?
I primarily use Aquaphor ointment and Aquaphor body wash/shampoo...especially after seeing the scientific study where Aquaphor ointment out-performed medicated ointments when it came to healing/scarring.
I've used coconut oil on my 5 year old son and it didn't have a negative effect, but I do get concerned with potential side effects. Sometimes infections can flourish with these natural remedies. Example, olive oil was recommended to my sister for her 9 month old twins' cradle cap, but olive oil actually makes it worse because the yeast grows in it.

I've been using baby ganics eczema cream on my youngest dd and it works great for her. Her skin was so dry and it's much better.
