help me find an OB!!

So apparently my gynecologist doesn't deliver babies anymore! So now I need to find an OB; and im looking for recommendations.

I would prefer someone affiliated with north shore/LIJ with an office in western nassau (or maybe eastern queens). Id prefer an office with more than 1 doctor that delivers (no solo practicioner). Ideally the practice would also have evening hour options so I dont need to miss a lot of work for appointments. I think id also prefer a female doctor, but im open to anyone really good.

Also if you are aware if the doctor is ok with elective c-sections or not, that would be great to know.

Thank you so much!!!

I see dr. Klein and the other doctors in his practice (gilbert, alkasab, rubin, sternshow (sp). half the office is men and half women. They are affiliated with nsuh in manhasset and their office is right by the hospital. I have seen all of the doctors in the practice and am very happy with them so far. I have had a few minor complications and they have been very thorough and the wait time has been minimal. I am not sure about elective csection but I had a prior c section and we discussed my options for this baby.

help me find an OB!!

I go to North Shore OB/GYN in Bayside -- Dr. Gilad Greenberg. They deliver at North Shore Manhasset. There's 5 doctors in all, including Dr. Greenberg's father, and of course you see them all at least once during your pregnancy.

I've been going there for years and I like all of them but definitely like Dr. Greenberg the best.

I'm also ALL for Women for Women!!! They are RIGHT next to LIJ and I like that when you are pregnant you have to meet with all the doctors so there are no surprises in the delivery room. Dr. Bell is AWESOME!!! And their staff is just as nice as all the doctors which I find to be just as important!

This except I am considered a very high risk patient due to my own medical history and they have been diligent and understanding and reassuring about everything. I like the practice a lot.

Re: help me find an OB!!

I go to Great Neck Ob/Gyn. They are in Great Neck (obviously) on Northern Blvd. They have hours 8am-8pm Mon-Thurs Friday they close around 4. They do sonograms (including level II anatomy scans) as they have an actual radiologist on staff. There are 4 delivering doctors. Dr. Rifkin, Sadaty, Kaufman and Santoryo.

Klein delivered my nephew. He and Nimeroff use to be part of Great Neck OB/Gyn. They are both amazing doctors. I know Klein is open to elective C-sections as my sister in law had one.

Good Luck!!!

She is very thorough! I'm high risk due to history of preterm deliveries and I had a fetal demise. She has me seeing her at least once a week(since 27 weeks) and is on top of my pregnancy. I haven't delivered with her yet but I will next month when she does my csection so I will be able to give you more info then.
