DD needs to be rocked and only sleeps in my arms
DD is almost 4 months. She has been having sleeping issues more and more lately. She needs to be rocked to sleep at bedtime. No matter how tired she is, she NEVER falls asleep on her own. When I put her down drowsy but awake, she will just squirm and cry in the crib until I pick her up. So I rock her to sleep and put her down when she's been sleeping on me for a good 10 minutes. Any sooner and she wakes right up when I put her down.
Lately, she has been waking up a few times crying randomly throughout the night (not for a feeding). She won't put herself back to sleep and when I don't pick her up immediately, she just wakes herself up completely. She'll fall asleep in my arms, but the minute I put her back down, she screams her head off even though she's still half asleep. I pick her back up, instantly asleep, put her down, she screams. This goes on for two hours until finally she stays down for a few more hours.
I dont know how to break this habit of being rocked to sleep and sleeping only in my arms. I'm so tired and she has to learn to go to sleep on her own. Anyone with similar stories or any advice? Dr. says no CIO until 6 months.

have you tried a pacifier to help her calm down? its still a pain bc you have to get up and give it to her but it may help

Yep, she uses a pacifier but she doesn't love it. Helps calm her down but doesn't really help with sleeping.

Have you tried a wedge for the crib? Maybe she doesn't like to lie flat?
Or maybe putting her in a swing or RNP, if you have them?

Maybe instead of picking her up when she fusses try patting her belly or rocking her while she's in the crib? This helps my ds on the nights he can't fall asleep himself.
Also what about a mobile? Or sound machine? Maybe the glow worm or sheep that goes in bed with her?

Could she have reflux? Maybe being on her back in physically painful? I'd try the crib wedge or just putting a few towels under the mattress to elevate one side.
