DC with early bed times

Do you remember at what age you started putting your DC to bed with an early bed time? DS is only 6 weeks so I am not sure if putting him to bed around 7 would be too early. I have been putting him to sleep for the night around 8 now and he gives me a good stretch but he is so fussy from 6-8. He is inconsolable like screaming and he seems exhausted. Just wondering of maybe going down for the night earlier might help.

Are you doing anything with him during that time? DD would get like that too. I would play with her for a bit and sometimes she would just go to bed at 7. I do the same now if she is tired. No need to keep them up.

Ds was going to bed at 7 or 8 at that age. If he gets too tired he gets fussy and won't drink his last bottle. So I watch for signs of being tired and put him down before he gets too fussy. He is now 11 weeks and goes to bed between 630 and 715

DS has gone down (almost) every night at 7pm since 8 weeks old. He is 21 months now but when he was an infant, he was so sleepy by then.

DS was crazy during that time (moreso than normal). It was his witching hour. There was nothing we could do. I let DS pick his bedtime. he always seemed to fall asleep on his own between 8-9 so thats what we went with and he still does the same at 18 months,

I'd put DS down around 6 or 7 for a "nap." Wake him up around 8:30 or 9. Then give him a final bottle around 10 and put him down for the night. I'd rather his long stretch be when I was going to sleep so I could get sleep too. If I put him down at 7, he's be up again around 11 or 12, then every 3 hours after that.

DC with early bed times

In the earlier months, I let DD decide her bed time. She is 1 and goes to bed at 7.
