Questions about teething and sleeping

DS is 7 months and used to go to bed at night fairly easy. He would wake up once or twice but we'd give him the pacifier and he'd fall right back asleep. Lately it's been taking a while to get him to bed. He'll fall asleep for a bit and then wake up a bunch of times crying. He sometimes puts the paci back in himself falls asleep for a minute and then wakes up crying again. Same thing in the middle of the night- he'll wake up, sometimes put the paci back in and fall asleep but he won't stay asleep until I feed him. He also used to sleep until 8am the latest but the past couple days he's been sleeping until 8:45 and this morning is still sleeping at 9. (although he woke up around 6-6:30 and took a while to fall back asleep). It seems like he's been teething for well over a month so I'm afraid to try CIO because I'm afraid he's crying because he's in pain. Any advice on how to get him to go to sleep easier and stay asleep after he puts the paci back in? Does teething usually disrupt sleep for this long? Sorry this is so long but I'd love to get better sleep. I haven't slept since October

Dd is 7 months and a little off too...still no tooth... we got a starter toothbrush that had a massager flat kinda side on one end she was very happy wi th today

We did CIO for my twins at 8 months. They are now 19M and occasionally waking at night as you described. I know it's hard...I look fwd to when the magority of teeth are in. My Twin B didn't get his first tooth until his first Birthday. YOu will learn which crys to respond to with CIO. I highly recommend doing it now before they start talking/standing. Otherwise you will have them in crib standing yelling MOMMA...thats the worst

We find that right as DD teeth are going to cut she has trouble staying asleep. She usually will STTN but she has two teeth now and for both teeth right before they appeared she wake up at least 2x/night. as soon as they came in she was back to sleeping better. Now we are expecting more because shes waking again at least once a night. We dont CIO because we know its only when shes in pain that she wakes up and cries.
