Are your LO's crazy about what they wear? Advice needed.
My son has always has somewhat OCD type behaviors (not too extreme) but he is driving me insane with getting dressed in the morning. He recently turned 5. He refuses to wear jeans. Will actually cry if I try to put them on him-which I no longer even attempt. He will also only wear certain shirts/pants/socks. It's extremely frustrating (for both of us). I try to have him pick out his outfits at night but sometimes he decides he hates it in the morning. Any advice? Anyone else going through this?

Maybe it's an age thing. My DS just turned 5 and for the las 4 months he has been giving me a hard time. No more jeans...just running pants. Last month, I went on line and let him pick out a few tshirts and running pants. He has been so much better. We pick of his clothes the night before and since he "shopped" for his own clothes, he doesn't argue....as much. Good luck.

Sounds like he has sensory issues. I know many children with sensory issues that won't wear socks, jeans, and are very particular about their clothing.

My DD is only 2 and she is exactly like you describe. Every single morning is a battle royal.
I can't even buy her clothes anymore with her with me because she will refuse to wear them.. .and she is only 2. God help me.

Yes, somewhat. He doesn't like to get dirty, touch paint, etc. either but he is getting better with that.

I agree it sounds like a sensory thing. He may not process textures like you or I and jeans or certain materials may feel noxious to him. Talk to your ped shear have some suggestions for you.

My son will wear jeans, but he has recently told me he doesn't want to wear them because of the snap. He wants to be able to go to the bathroom at preschool without asking his teacher for help with his pants. So maybe it isn't a sensory issue, maybe he just wants that independence of being able to be comfy in his pants.

My DS (6) refuses to wear jeans some days. He prefers exercise pants generally. I let him pick out his own clothes and don't worry about it. The only thing I am concerned with is that his clothes are (a) mostly clean and (b) weather appropriate.
Oh, and when he was younger, the snaps were definitely an issue-- he didn't want to wear anything with snaps b/c he couldn't close them after going to the bathroom.

My almost 4 yr old does has some sensory issues, but surprisingly ok with what I put him in. Only can wear certain type of socks and hates tags, but I think that's normal.
My mil did tell me DH went through a no jeans phase at that age and he is fine now so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Stick to comfy clothes. Sometimes I find some of the jeans too stiff. My friend's DD went through s no jeans phase too and it was mostly leggings for her bc she didn't like the button on her belly.
