Christening party at the park?
My SIL suggested that I do a Picnic at the park for my DD Christening. It sounds like a great idea. I can picture the kids running all over the place, playing volleyball and eating non stop. But my dilema is the weather. What if it rains on that given day? I know I have no control over that but what happens then? Would I need a back up plan?

I'm assuming I need to first get a permit. Do you think that if it does rain and a tent is provided that people will still attend?

I am doing a party in my backyard..so it's the same concept. I am renting tents. People will attend.

Sorry. I think you DO need a back-up plan. I've never seen/been to a park party when it was pouring or raining all day.

When is the christening? We looked at the Carousel House at Hempstead Lake Park but ultimately decided on Puglia's. We loved it so much that we went back and booked DD's first birthday there. You have the park feel but it is indoors and you have full use of the carousel!

we are doing the same for DD first birthday. its at the park but our house is 3 min away so if need be thats where the party will be.
