Pooping in underwear....What do I do?

My DD is 2years 7 months. I tried potty training with no success in the past, so let it go.
This weekend she took it upon herself to want to pee in the bathroom.
The next day she then decided no diapers, & wore underwear....dry all day.
The 3rd day she did poop in her underwear. We told her if she did again, we would have to use diapers again. She stayed dry, even during the nap.
Today, day 4 she was dry until 1pm...& in the amount of time I went to use the bathroom she pooping in her underwear. Even with me trying all morning to sit with her to see if she could go (cause she is typically a 1-2x a dayer)

What do I do, because I put her back in diapers, took away all the "big girl" stuff we gave her over the weekend, & she's not even peeing in the bathroom when she needs to.

Should I try again tomorrow with underwear? And accept poop I feel like she went to forward,, but now we are back to the beginning all over again, when clearly she knows to pee in the bathroom.

She was so excited to be a "big girl"

Any help would be GREAT!

My 3.5 year old has been pee trained since November. Poop is another story. He won't go in on his own, I have to watch & remind him. We still have accidents. My ped told me it takes longer for poop, I've heard some kids a year.

But when I ask, she says she doesn't need to. If I take her in & try to get her to sit & see what happens...nothing.

But clearly she can in her undees.

So, keep her in the undees?

DD1was the opposite. She started potty training with just pooping at age 2years 2mo, she asked while on vacation & never pooped in a diaper again (I wasn't even ready to start training).

Poop in undees?!?!?! Oh I hope this passes quick

ETA: I did put her back in undees after dinner & she so excited again & happy to be a "big girl". So maybe tomorrow will be better?

This is completely normal when potty training. I would not punish her by taking things away for it happening. Mine went in her underwear for a good couple of weeks! Gross and I would just keep throwing them out!

It took my girls months to be poop potty trained. You can try no undies or pants when you are home and it may help. I also would not take anything away. Maybe try a potty chart with stickers.

Just wash the undies. It's not that bad.
DS took a few months (4) to get the full hang of poop!
