sahms can u tell me what u eat for lunch?
Starting a diet tmrw. I've been floundering. Not really eating lunch at all- just picking and finishing the kids' food.

I never eat breakfast, so I usually eat a bowl of cereal for lunch or some leftovers from the previous night's dinner.

Different things! Today I made California rolls. I like avocado tuna salad wraps, vegetable pizza on a sprouted grain tortilla, eggplant curry, omlette, lentil soup....

i hear ya! its hard! I try to eat some salad with whatever else I eat... I just buy the bags of salad, so its quick and easy  and that way I feel like I at least get SOME kind of healthy stuff in me
So like today I had a turkey sandwich with a salad, yesterday I had some garlic lemon chicken that was leftover from Monday night's dinner, with a salad... and I basically just have to tell myself that McDonalds, etc don't exist HAHA so I'm not tempted to stop there when I'm out

I do a lot of soup and frozen pizza. I've just started buying bagged baby spinach and a few veggies like bell peppers, baby carrots, olives etc. I throw that all in a bowl, add some feta and have a salad. One bag will be two lunches for me.

I do salads with chicken
Greek yogurt with granola & fruit
Spinach wrap with laughing cow cheese & cucumbers
Buffalo chicken salad.

a lot of grilled cheese sandwiches...usually on healthy bread, cooked in toaster, not fry pan.
Cold cuts without bread.
Other days i just eat a little of this and a lithe of that, i know that is bad.

I can barely choke down breakfast in the morning so, I'll usually have a Chobani Flip yogurt cup
I'll usually have leftovers from the night before as my lunch.

I have been getting a salad M-F for the past month (so far I am not sick of it). My girls have to be picked up from nursery at 12 so I stop at Graces in Greenvale and get a salad. I usually do romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, peppers, cucumbers, carrots, feta cheese and black olives. My new favorite dressing is olive oil and lemon juice.

Cheese n crackers
Pb on wheat (I hate jelly)
sometimes I pick from the kids lunch too much so I just have a luna bar. Terrible I know
Basically I am last on the totem pole for lunch healthiness and prep time

i barely ever get to eat lunch. if i do...
greek yogurt. i like chobani raspberry and chobani blueberry.
arnold sandwich thins. i like whole wheat and/or whole grain with flax seeds. i usually put hummus or peanut butter on it. i like sabra hummus.

During the summers when Im a sahm or when I have breaks and Im home I make sure I eat breakfast. I usually have oatmeal, cereal, fruit, yogurt, or a smart ones breakfast sandwich. For lunch, I usually buy the bagged romaine lettuce and bagged baby spinach and make a salad. I'll then add cucumbers, red peppers, feta and I use the trader joe's fat free balsamic. I may also have some of the progresso low fat soups or fruit and yogurt. I'll sometimes have a homemade grilled chicken sandwich, or the perdue whole wheat chicken nuggets with sweet potato baked fries.

I work full time, but have started calorie counting with the help of an app... so have put lots of thought into what I eat.
For lunch, I currently eat:
Veggies steamed/stir fried: broccoli, green beans, carrots, etc. with a small side of rice
OR
Soups (non creamy)
OR
Salad
OR
Half a sandwich
I always eat breakfast
Yogurt
OR
Raspberries & blueberries & banana with cottage cheese
When I'm with the kids, I eat what they eat, which usually is soup or meatballs (turkey) and veggies.
