Is anyone pushing back your DCs bedtime now that it's light out later?

I've always started getting DD ready for bed around 6;30/7 (based on when she shows signs of sleepiness) and she's usually asleep by 8/8:30, but now it feels strange starting her bed time routine while it's still light out even though it's dark by the time shes asleep. So now I'm thinking it's really going to feel weird during the summer because it will still be light out by 8/8:30 when shes normally asleep. I wonder if she'll even feel sleepy if it's not completely dark in her room yet? I think I want to gradually get her to go to sleep a little later, but is that a bad idea? Just curious what everyone else is doing - sticking w the same bedtime or pushing it back?

I'm not planning on changing anything--if she starts to shift to a later bedtime I'll follow her cues though.

I've kept it the same. I have blackout curtains in the bedrooms - they seem to do the trick for my girls (thankfully!).

I don't plan on changing anything. They adapt.

No way! They are waking up earlier because it's brighter in their room earlier. They used to wake up at 8/8:30 and now they are up by 7:15.

Bedtime is 8:15 all year round.

I couldn't handle any later - I first start work when they go to sleep!

No - I never adjusted his bedtime. He's in bed at 7 - he actually thinks it's "fun" to go to bed when it's light out. During the week, we have to wake him up at 6:15, so he has a really full day and is more than ready for bed at 7.

He's 3.5

nope DD is in bed at 7:30 no matter what. . .she asked why it was light out, i said it was the moon LOL
Honestly, in the summer the sun doesnt set until around 9 and there is no way I can stay up that late, so I am sticking with the early bedtime.
