We found our home... and are in contract!! (pic)
We are in contract!  
After walking away from a short sale we had put a bid in on, we found the perfect home almost immediately! It is a relief - we are due with our first child in September and before the wheels come off  I really wanted to be unpacked, settled a little, and in our home. We sold our first home, a townhouse, in September and then have been looking ever since (while living in a little apartment in the mean time) for our "raise our family in" home.
We had a hard time - our budget is tight, we want a certain area that's not that big so houses don't come up that often, and the few we saw and did like we were outbid on. When this one came up, I jumped on it and we are talking about the idea of expanding/going up on it one day down the line. The other thing that was hard: we originally wanted a fixer but when I got pregnant that became difficult because I would be doing a lot of the fixing, I'm actually quite handy for a chick lol but being PG, that had gotten shelved. So, we were able to get a home that is pretty turn key.
It is in St. James - exactly where I have always wanted to be, I'm so thankful and we are so excited. We should close in June. The elementary and middle schools are EXACTLY what I wanted as well. I'm so thrilled about that.

so funny I just saw that house in an ad no that llong ago and thought, that house is so cute! and it was up for a really reasonable price!
