I've been reading alot on herbs. There are people that have tried red clover, maca root, raspberry leaf or vitex and had success stories. I'm wondering has anyone on here tried any of those or knew someone that did and had success? I'd love to hear your stories!
Vitex is for people that have irregular cycles. It helps balance out your body. I just started taking maca root. I figured it costs a few bucks and if it helps then great. I've got nothing to lose at this point.

I started taking vitex to help regulate my cycle after being on BC for years. Hope it helps!

I took vitex and drank red raspberry leaf tea (and also took wheat grass shots, took royal jelly, and snacked on goji berries) when TTC with baby no.1. I had a short LP that I wanted to try to treat naturally. I read a really good book called "Making Babies: A 3 month program." It was really helpful diet and herbs for fertility. After 2 months of being pretty strict with my diet and taking that stuff, I was pregnant (after 9 months of trying). Not sure if it was coincidence or it really helped. My doctor said I probably finally had a really strong ovulation, which I wasn't having before, leading to an LPD.

I just started tracking my cycle for baby no. 2 and my LP was 7 days 2 months in a row, so I'm starting back up with this stuff.

HTH and good luck!Chat Icon Chat Icon

When I got pg I was seeing accupuncturist and she had me snacking on goji berries, taking royal jelly, drinking raspberry leaf tea and this herbal tea that was made in their office. That was also the month I got pg and I really believed that boost helped.

I thought I'd give an update. I tried the maca root and felt great on it. Had tons of energy. I found out you have to take it early in the morning or you can end up with problems sleeping. On it I started having horrid cramping after a few days and I had that everyday. It was the worst. I went off of it due to the horrid cramping. I miss how energized I felt. Now I'm in the 2ww. I really dont think it helped any, but I recommend if you try it whatever dose it says take half of that. I think I was taking too much too quickly even tho it was the recommended dose. Thank you all for your responses!!
